Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have three plus years of experience as a traveling superintendent in the commercial construction industry. This role requires extensive travel to various job sites, and candidates must be comfortable with this aspect of the position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing Construction Projects: Manage and supervise commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

  2. Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate on-site construction teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

  3. Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all job sites to maintain a safe working environment.

  4. Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.

  5. Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

  6. Cost Control: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and schedule integrity.

  7. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.

  8. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.

  9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and other relevant paperwork, and provide regular progress reports to management.

  10. Travel: Travel extensively to various job sites as required, ensuring effective oversight and management of multiple projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three plus years of experience as a traveling superintendent in the commercial construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and completing commercial construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
