Sr. Structural Engineer, PE

We are a multi-disciplined engineering firm, headquartered in a metro region and in search for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering Division. This role is perfect for someone wanting to move into a department manager role. Job Description

• Project management, project development, planning, business development, client management, and financial performance.
• Provide structural design expertise as part of a project team or independently and coordinate with other disciplines in achieving design solutions
• Develop structural engineering design solutions for buildings and structures integrating project objectives and design criteria
• Interact and communicate effectively with design team members
• Deliver complete and accurate structural designs and prepare structural drawings and details on-time and within design budget
• Assure compliance with company quality control program
• Check work of others as assigned
• Review construction shop drawings and submittals
• Certify engineering design documents as required

Position Requirements

• BS Civil with Structural Engineering emphasis (M.S. Engineering preferred)
• 7-12 years related work experience
• Understanding and ability to prepare design of structural steel, concrete, wood/timber, and masonry components and framing systems
• Working knowledge of IBC, AISC, and ACI Building Codes
• Professional Engineer (PE or SE)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
