Job Title : Traveling Safety Professional

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and job site visits at various locations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Provide safety training and education to employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, covering topics such as hazard recognition, fall protection, equipment operation, and emergency response procedures.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to address safety concerns and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety activities, including training records, incident reports, and safety meetings.
  • Stay informed about changes in safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, clients, and industry organizations on safety-related matters.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and / or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification.
  • Experience in safety management, preferably in heavy civil infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work in various locations. Relocating full-time for various periods of time may be preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and fostering collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience with federal heavy civil infrastructure projects.
