Job Title: Project Manager - Bridge Construction
Location: West Virginia/Maryland
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with experience in bridge construction, particularly in bridge foundation and steel bridge construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex bridge projects and possess the technical expertise to oversee all aspects of construction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of bridge construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to develop project plans and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Lead the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, and monitor progress against established goals.
- Procure materials and equipment necessary for bridge construction, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, address any issues or concerns, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, progress meetings, and closeout meetings, and effectively communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals, and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project specifications are met.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process to ensure the structural integrity of bridge components.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on bridge construction, including experience in bridge foundation and steel bridge construction.
- Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to bridge construction.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as required.
- Professional certifications in project management or civil engineering are desirable but not required.
