We are seeking an attorney with 5 years of legal experience to represent clients’ interests in all stages of litigation and contribute to the progression of the firm while working alongside our expert legal team.

We are a well-established, multi-service law firm with a history of developing trial attorneys and providing practice opportunities in numerous areas of civil litigation, including professional malpractice defense, workers’ compensation, and product liability defense.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing in Nebraska.

• Knowledge of litigation procedures in Nebraska.

• Detail oriented, motivated and able to support legal team in complex litigation cases and trial.

• Courtroom experience.

• Experience in handling pretrial discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and trial (experience in insurance defense and civil litigation preferred).

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

• Effective oral and written interaction.

• Strong work ethic.

• Produce efficient, high-quality work product.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Demonstrates ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of attorney-client relationship;• Work closely with clients and Senior Counsel in all phases of litigation process;• Arguing motions and presenting cases independently at hearings;• Preparation for, taking and defending depositions;• Drafting and filing pleadings with appropriate bodies;• Conducting thorough discovery and drafting discovery requests and responses;• Conducting legal research;• Adhering to confidentiality requirements and exercising discretion;• Provide other support to Senior Counsel and other legal staff as needed.

Medical malpractice experience preferred; not required.

Full-time in office with some remote work availability.
