Gowan Company is Hiring a Project Manager Near Yuma, AZ

The Project Management Office (PMO) is designed to support the delivery of projects across the global businesses, coordinating efforts and ensuring project management processes are followed and objectives are met. As a leader within the PMO, the Project Manager (PM) provides guidance and coaching to project coordinators and team members throughout the organization.
In this role, the PM oversees critical, strategic, and complex type projects, ensuring they align with overarching business objectives. They possess expertise in project lifecycle management methodologies and are proficient in tracking schedules, performance, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and fostering strong business relationships. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and effective communication with stakeholders required. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Yuma, AZ.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Provide coaching on PM best practices, standard approach and tooling to the business
    • Manage the full project life cycle including requirements gathering, creation of project plans and schedules, obtaining and managing resources, managing budget, and facilitating project execution, deployment, and closure.
    • Utilize standard project management tools and techniques to effectively manage projects.
    • Assist with establishment and maintenance of project management methodologies.
    • Maintain detailed project documentation including meeting minutes, action items, issues lists, and risk management plans.
    • Effectively communicate project status to all stakeholders, including bi-weekly report to leadership on status of all projects.
    • Negotiate with project stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
    • Coordinate cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall stakeholder expectations and company's objectives.
    • Create and communicate project milestone documents, dashboards, and departmental success metrics.
    • Accountable for project success along with project sponsor
    • As a member of the PMO team, identify areas for improvements and bring forward solutions.
Required education, knowledge, skills and abilities:
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration or relative Project Management discipline.
    • A professional certification in project management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.
    • 3-5 years' experience in enterprise project management or equivalent
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal & external customers to best understand the business needs driving new solutions.
    • Strong communication (both written and oral), presentation and problem-solving skills
    • Strong leadership, teamwork and organizational skills
    • Experience with project analysis, costing, and budgeting
    • Able to interact with all levels of management in a professional and effective manner.
    • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and adapt to changing situations
    • Strong knowledge of business applications, specifically SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
    • Occassional travel may be required.
