Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a senior intake and budget operations lead to support our client at the Department of Veterans Affairs OIT (Office of Information Technology) Health Portfolio, Scheduling Product Line. This position will be a fully remote position and core business hours will be 8 AM to 5 PM ET.

Responsibilities

Develops and leads intake and budget processes which integrate well with higher and lower-level organizations. Evaluates impact of current procedures and provides necessary guidance regarding process improvements. Provides business and internal stakeholders with a one-stop intake process to all IT requests. Anticipates funding needs across the product line and acts on requests proactively. Seeks to be an SME on agency funding requirements. Seeks to provide key observations and opportunities for process improvement based on analysis. Reports to the Product Line Sr. Program Manager.

• Creates models (statistical, visual, or simulated) to communicate intake and budget observations and results.
• Identifies and addresses deficiencies, failures, and other triggers that cause operational issues with internal and external stakeholder operations.
• Develops strategic operations solutions in alignment to business objectives.
• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and as an individual with minimal guidance

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, computer science, information systems, journalism, marketing, communications, or related fields and 7 years of commensurate experience; 8-10 years of additional experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
• Experience with business operations process development
• Experience leading business operations process implementation
• Experience with process SOP development
• Advanced experience in Visio and other process development tools
• Experience in facilitation of process engineering working sessions
• Self-starter and lead with minimal guidance

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience in IT intake processes
• Experience in government funding and budgeting processes
• Agile / SAFe SDLC experience
• Department of VA, OIT experience

Clearance Required:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
