JOB SUMMARY:
Perform basic electrical maintenance, installation and repairs throughout the site on buildings, HVAC systems, process equipment, process controls, lighting systems, standby electrical systems and communications systems. This includes preventative maintenance, routine repairs, emergency repairs and project work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Forklift/Manlift skills. Maintain a forklift license and manlift license per PIT program.
2. Electrical skills. Perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, emergency repair of electrical distribution systems, lighting systems and standby power systems.
3. Process controls skills. Perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, & emergency repair of manufacturing tank process controls, weighing systems, and bulk level systems.
4. HVAC skills. Perform installation, prevention maintenance, & emergency repair of HVAC systems.
5. Network systems skills. Perform installation, preventative maintenance, emergency repair of plant wide process control networks.
6. Documentation of systems and equipment. Maintain internal documents to support ISO certification.
7. Project support. Support projects as assigned, assist with design and fabrication of process control panels.
8. Regulatory compliance. Insure site compliance by applying NFPA code 70 (NEC) to electrical work. Perform weighing systems work in compliance with North Carolina Weights and Measures Act of 1975.
9. Emergency response program. Participate in emergency response program for chemical spills, fire, medical emergencies
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE:
5 yearsofrelated experience and training.

Forklift License - Manlift License
NC State Electrical License
NC Scale Technician License
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
