Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for discovery, incubation, and development of disruptive battery technologies for Gotion’s game-changing battery products
• Responsible for the detailed feasibility study and risk analysis of various battery technologies
• Develop prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions and conduct detailed tradeoff analysis
• Designing preliminary failure analysis experiments for technology integration
• Effectively communicate the advantages, disadvantages and risks to the broader R&D and product teams

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in Physical Science or Engineering
• Deep understanding of the state-of-the-art battery materials and technologies
• Demonstrated record of success and inventiveness in battery-related fields
• Experience of developing a battery technology from concept to productization is highly valued
• Experience managing external projects with universities and companies is a plus
