Gotham Scenic fabricates custom scenery for television, Broadway and events. We work with big clients, but we are small company with a tight, yet inviting, crew. We are fast-paced, creative & driven. We are looking to expand our team to assist with our drafting needs. At this time, we do not have a full-time position available, but we are willing to work with 1 or more talented drafters to assist us on specific jobs. The drafters schedule can be flexible, but the job deadlines are not, so be sure to be available for the agreed upon time.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare AutoCad build drawings for shop carpenters, based upon field survey information, client requests & information from the foreman and project manager
• Prepare AutoCad drawings for clients as requested
• Must be precise with key measurements, specifications and technical aspects of the design
• Must be comfortable speaking with clients to ask build questions & relay job progress
• Must have knowledge of theatrical scenery fabrication
• Must be willing to work in a shop/warehouse environment
• Must be able to work independantly, as well as in a team environment
• Must be organized, decisive & accountable
• Must be able to problem-solve with confidence
• Must be flexible with design changes, willing to accept critical critism & assist clients with their requests
• Must be able to work until job is complete

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Experience:

• AutoCAD (Required)
• Scenic Fabrication Shop (Preferred)
