Following development and construction, Gotham’s in-house property management division seamlessly transitions into ongoing building and community management, operating vibrant and engaging communities in the neighborhoods it builds in.Overview: Gotham Organization seeks an experienced and motivated Leasing Agent, for an on-site position at a luxury rental building/s. The Leasing Agent will drive the performance of their assigned properties and play an integral role on a growing leasing team. This position reports to the Leasing Manager.Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage activities related to apartment rentals including marketing, leasing, and maintaining good customer relations with current residents, prospective residents, and the brokerage community.
  • Register and tour prospects, exemplifying the benefits of living in a Gotham property.
  • Engage in continuous follow-up with prospects and exemplify strong closing techniques
  • Respond to online inquiries, phone calls, and be knowledgeable on apartment inventory, application requirements and building policies.
  • Diligently track prospect information to ensure data is complete and accurate.
  • Collect and prepare verification documents to efficiently process applications, working closely with the verification team.
  • Administer leases and other legal documents with strong attention to detail.
  • Manage listings of vacant apartments on a handful of key websites, updating daily and checking for accuracy and quality.
  • Handle lease assignment requests in conjunction with the Management.
  • Proactively work with leasing team to identify changes required due to current market and competitive changes in the marketplace.
  • Discuss market information and trends with Leasing Director and Marketing Department.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and collect detailed market comparables as directed.
Requirements & Critical Skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Full time position- 5 days a week. Weekends are required.
  • NYS Real Estate License required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Amiable demeanor with a focus on exceptional service and effective communication.
  • Experience with property management and leasing software preferred.
  • Ability to learn new systems in a changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment.
  • Administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • This position will be based in one of our midtown buildings with potential coverage in LIC or Brooklyn on an as needed basis.
