We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming and teaching individuals of all ages and skill levels. GoSwim believes in diversity and equal pay. We pay our instructors at a competitive rate and pay weekly as an incentive.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct swim lessons following established guidelines and lesson plans
- Provide instruction on swimming techniques, water safety, and proper pool etiquette
- Create a safe and positive learning environment for students
- Monitor swimmers to ensure safety and provide assistance when needed
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and goals
- Assist with pool maintenance, including cleaning and organizing equipment
- Uphold excellent guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Swim Instructor or lifeguard preferred
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguarding
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to teach various strokes and techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Knowledge of pool maintenance practices is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with people of all ages
