Construction Project Manager

Our general contracting firm focuses on custom home construction and small commercial jobs. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at once and communicating directly with our senior management team, architects, as well as homeowners.

Our clients appreciate our attention to detail and our commitment to high-quality custom homes. We're looking for a Construction Manager with similar values and beliefs who can translate his or her expertise and skills to our initiatives. Experience with new construction and custom home building will make you an excellent fit for our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Construction project managers are responsible for the following:

  • Collaborating with engineers, architects and construction personnel
  • Manage job sites, including supplies, materials and labor
  • Oversee and schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Problem-solving to address delays, emergencies or other issues
  • Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements. Ensure safety guidelines are followed on all job sites
  • Reporting progress to clients and maintain constant communication with clients through construction process
  • Explain technical matters and work in a clear manner

Project Manager skills and qualifications

  • Great customer service, communication and customer service skills
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to delegate work
  • Exceptional time management skills, ability to estimate work effort and time needed for various construction jobs
  • Excellent technical skills and understanding of construction methods, contracts and blueprints
  • 3 years' experience in new construction and in a supervisory capacity
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with no decline in quality control
  • Email and some computer skills a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with architects and high end custom home building preferred

Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
