Security Technician

Salary: TBD

Location: Office, Remote, On-Site

Job Description:

Security Technicians are responsible for completing installations, programming, repairs, troubleshooting, and resolving service tickets for all security-related customers. Security Technicians must research security products and maintain the latest knowledge. They must always keep the customer and Goserco management informed on the progress of projects, and service tickets while attempting to resolve them as quickly as possible. Security Technicians will be required to complete site walkthroughs and provide training for customers. Security Technicians may be required to create quotes for customers.

The Security Technician must always exhibit excellent customer service skills. They should be very responsive and present excellent verbal and written communication skills. Security Technicians must always professionally present themselves. They must also be detail-oriented and display initiative.

A fully trained Security Technician will work from the office, remotely, and on-site at the customer’s location.

Essential Duties & Expectations:

Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Goserco products.

Security Technicians must be able to install all security products that Goserco sells and supports.

Field security-related service tickets and work to resolve them as quickly as possible.

Assist with project design and project management.

Determine customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.

Ensure customer satisfaction at project completion and obtain signatures for documentation.

Provide support over the phone, remotely, and in person as appropriate.

Work with customers to establish, maintain and test remote access.

Create, well-written, service tickets and update/close them as appropriate.

Escalate service tickets to vendors when appropriate.

Coordinate with the customer and Goserco management to confirm readiness for installations and ensure delivery of supplies and equipment are on site.

Record and maintain all hardware information including serial numbers.

Research various security products and make recommendations accordingly.

Develop material to conduct training for customers.

Update the Business Manager on any customer contact changes.

Coordinate and communicate with the Business Manager on all orders and invoices.

Maintain ongoing communication with Goserco management.

Complete scheduled appointments and follow up with customers as appropriate.

Be responsive to work-related phone calls and e-mails.

Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Three (3) years of customer service experience are required.

Product familiarity and/or technical support experience in a similar industry is preferred.

Must have familiarity with various Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Must pass a background check which may include fingerprint clearance.

Valid Driver’s License
