Gordon Sinclair is Hiring a Print Technician Near Indiana, PA

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Technician for various imprint machines, with a focus on digital printing.

Would entail knowing the equipment’s functionality, being able to service and provide

technical support. While encouraging growth, and internal trainings among company

operators.

This candidate will also be expected to work autonomously, while conducting preventative

maintenance as well as installations and troubleshooting complex issues in a timely fashion.

Previous experience in the printing industry a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

- Good communication skills; especially for training & technical support

- Applicant must have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot

and repair high speed electro-mechanical equipment in a fast-paced environment

under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical repair, troubleshooting, preventative

maintenance, and service on all equipment

- This includes our Digital print machines

- Computer savvy; working knowledge in illustrator and photoshop

- Should be able to read and understand basic electrical control schematics,

diagrams, manuals, and electrical prints to repair machinery/equipment.

Provides detailed descriptions, dimensions, and specifications for outsourced parts

and systems. Coordinates repairs with external vendors and work performed by

other through Maintenance Contracts.

- Works independently and as part of a team to minimize equipment down time and

install/move equipment as scheduled.

Job Requirements:

- Familiar with various imprint methods; digital, pad, and silk screen printing

- High School diploma

- Trade School Graduate preferred

- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical repair required

- Solid experience/knowledge in pneumatics, blueprint reading, and machine trades

math necessary. Previous mechanical experience in the printing industry or industrial

maintenance setting is preferred. Welding and machining experience preferred

- Basic math, computer and good, open communication skills are mandatory

- Knowledge and skills to use manual hand tools, lathe, voltmeter, drill press, sander,

angle grinder, saws, and similar tools

- Must be able to troubleshoot electronic devices without any assistance.

Knowledge of machinery and industrial wiring, such as power feed, transformers,

and motors. Must be familiar with various testing equipment such as Digital Voltage

Meters, Amprobe, Meggar, etc. Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical experience

required

Qualifications

- Working experience with Mimaki, Inkjet, Helix, and Vortex digital printing machines

- Bi-Lingual Spanish (Preferred)
