Gordian Energy Systems is EXPANDING & HIRING THE BEST! We are actively seeking a Project Manager for commercial solar installations. You will be a critical part of the team that drives a project from the design stage to construction completion while staying on budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities of the project team include:

  • Coordinate and manage the project lifecycle from preliminary planning to job close out.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with all parties including clients, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Confirm that the internal project schedules match with the contract milestones and deliverables, then keep all required documents, schedules and financial reports updated timely and accurately.
  • Oversee the project so that all milestones are completed, invoiced, and collected timely throughout the project and all administrative documentation is submitted timely and accurately.
  • Manage all aspects of the design engineering and drawing review and the major equipment procurement.
  • Thoroughly vet all subcontractors and vendors, including reviewing bid packages and all subcontracts, then consistently manage, communicate with, and coordinate all subcontractors, vendors and other parties involved in the construction.
  • Effectively communicate with project owners through progress meetings and other means, to keep them updated on scheduling and overall project status.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in project management.
  • Proven ability to get things done; be passionate about your work.
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail
  • A curiosity to learn and the maturity to handle challenges and help grow the team's capabilities.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Clean driver’s record with reliable transportation.
  • Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • College degree

Preferred, but not required:

  • Previous engineering experience.
  • CAD experience.
  • Knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.
  • Expertise in construction, particularly electrical work and safety management including OSHA, NFPA, National Electrical Code and incorporation of safety into the daily work routine.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, civil and/or architectural drawings
  • Experience using Procore or other project management software.
  • Occasional travel as well as willingness to work a variety of hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, as required by the specific project.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification
  • Commercial Solar Background
