About the Position:

Department: All Departments

Reports to: General Manager

Supervises: N/A

Purpose:

To gain exposure across various departments at Gooseneck Implement, developing a deeper understanding of job functions and preparing for a transition to a full-time role within an agreed upon department and location.

Responsibilities:

·Engage in the Find Your Fit process, exploring diverse department functions.

·Attend assigned trainings to enhance skill sets.

·Arrange and participate in job shadowing across different departments.

·Develop presentations showcasing acquired knowledge each semester.

·Acquire proficiency in Service, Sales, Parts, and other departments per personal interest.

Sales:

·Maintain equipment records in internal software.

·Follow a defined sales process for selling of machinery.

·Receive training on technology and equipment operation.

·Prepare quote and trade information.

Parts:

·Parts Counter – Provide customer service at the parts counter.

·Shop Parts – Fulfill parts requests for service technician work orders.

·Shipping and receiving – Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory.

·Shadow parts and aftermarket account management.

Service:

·Wash Bay – Prepare equipment for customer delivery.

·Service technician – Assist certified John Deere technicians in repairing equipment.

·Review work orders for invoicing and service management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·Prior experience in agriculture is preferred but not mandatory.

·Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

·Proficiency in standard desktop load applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, internet usage).

·Flexibility to work varied hours.

·Strong interpersonal skills for customer relations.

·Ability to multitask and follow instructions.

·Submission of driving authorization for insurability check.
