Description
Title: Line Cook
Reports To: Kitchen Manager
Summary of Position:
Goodwood Brewing Company is seeking to fill multiple full-time/part-time line cook positions. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, and following food health and safety procedures. The role of line cook may include operating a grill, oven, or fryer. Experience in fast-paced, chef-driven culinary experiences is preferred.
This position needs to be filled as soon as possible for training purposes.
Essential Functions:
- Sets up and breaks down various stations
- Cooks items according to the specified cook times to ensure that they are safe for customer consumption
- Uses the correct portions when cutting and serving items
- Anticipates peak and non-peak service times
- Responsible for the appearance of food when serving to customers
- Restocks the station with essentials and food product, as needed
- Adheres to the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules by completing the assigned tasks
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Operates and cleans station (flat-top grill, char grill, hood vents, fryers, range, ovens, etc.)
- Cross-trains at other stations at the location
- Works in other areas or departments as needed
- Completion of any task requested by a supervisor
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Time management skills
- Minimum 1-year experience in the food service industry
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
