Description

Scope of Function: 

Under the supervision of the Department Manager, assist with the execution and analysis of client product tech transfers and assay verifications for the Analytical team. Provide analytical support testing, as needed, to Quality Control, Protein Characterization, and Micro groups. On occasion, collaborate with Material Management, CTOs, Purchasing, and Manufacturing departments in preparing solutions, managing lab inventory, supporting analysts in daily testing, and managing data for the analytical department. Support scientists/chemists in the lab on a routine basis.

Specific Duties:

• Perform routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using established analytical methods and instrumentation.

• Prepare buffers, media, mobile phases, diluents, and different solutions on an as-needed basis.

• Document test results accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with regulatory requirements and company protocols.

• Manage samples and standards inventory.

• Assist in the development and validation of new testing procedures and protocols.

• Monitor inventory levels of laboratory supplies and reagents and place orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted testing operations.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality control.

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.

• Possess effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate technical information clearly.

Requirements

Education and  Experience:

BS or MSc in Biological or Biochemical sciences, and 3 years relevant laboratory experience in antibody/protein characterization or quality control – particularly in the areas of immunology, molecular and cell biology, and protein chemistry.
