Goodwill of Central Southern Indiana is Hiring a Site Supervisor (full-time)- Crane, IN Near Crane, IN

This is a full-time position working out of our location in Crane, IN (address is 300 Highway 361 CTR 13, Crane, IN 47522). The general salary range is $50K-$62K (based on experience).

This Site Supervisor position at Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana (GCSI) is a result of the AbilityOne program in partnership with GCSI and the federal government, providing healthy operations and environments at local federal facilities. The AbilityOne program is one of the largest sources of employment in the United States for people who are blind or have significant disabilities. GCSI is one of about 500 non-profit organizations that provides employment opportunities in competitive, integrated environments at federal government locations.

The Site Supervisor, AbilityOne oversees a contract consisting of team members including Assistant Supervisors and/or Team Leads, as well as direct labor employees; ensuring that customer requirements are met in accordance with the contract's scope of work, third-party subcontracts, as well as meeting all compliance documentation and reporting. Example Duties and Activities

Accountability Performance

  • Monitors accomplishment of individual and site goals and employee development.

  • Oversees and follows established guidelines for quality and safety initiatives.

  • Supports employees in improving work behaviors and skills acquisition to enhance their success with employment; establishes regular contact to keep employees engaged and motivated.

  • Utilizes the Strategic and Operational Plans of the organization and department to guide decision-making and goal-setting processes.

  • Establishes a culture of high performance, communication, and transparency.

Contract Management

  • Understands and adheres to the contract's Scope of Work.

  • Works directly with immediate supervisor and the customer to develop processes and procedures to meet contract requirements.

  • Develops service schedules, estimates worker hour requirements, and adjusts work processes to ensure completion of job assignments and conformance to specifications.

  • Prepares service estimates according to labor hours, materials, and machine requirements costs.

  • Solicits quotes from vendors and administers subcontracting agreements.

Budgeting and Compliance

  • Ensures operational services meet the cost and quality requirements of the contract's pricing package and Statement of Work.

  • Oversees purchasing and maintenance of equipment and inventory.

  • Ensures compliance to the contract through training attendance, completion of work, as well as reviewing and understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

  • Completes all required reporting timely and accurately.

Staffing, Evaluation, and Development

  • Creates staffing strategy and approaches to meet requirements.

  • Motivates employees to achieve key performance indicators, conducts performance reviews, and provides feedback through coaching.

  • Communicates with the case management team to meet employee needs and develops reasonable accommodations when needed.

  • Leads hiring activities, orientation, and on the job training

  • Implements professional development and succession plans for self and key staff.

  • Informed Decision Making - Identifies and comprehends issues, problems, and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions; uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.

  • Communication Skills - Articulates thoughts and expresses ideas effectively using oral, written, visual, and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to comprehend customer and employee needs. Delivers information in person, in writing, and in a digital world.

  • Building Collaborative Relationships - Develops, maintains, and strengthens partnerships at all levels with others inside or outside the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support. Is able to receive as well as provide feedback to improve performance or processes; builds and maintains customer satisfaction.

  • Disability Awareness - Has familiarity working with diverse populations including people with developmental and/or physical disabilities to accomplish departmental goals.

  • Learning Strategies - Selects and uses training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.

  • Technical Knowledge - Working knowledge of G Suite or MS Office.

  • Moderate to Hard Physical Work - is regularly required to walk and frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Can manage frequent exposure to dust, dirt, debris, and dust particles in the air. May regularly be exposed to slippery floors and moving mechanical parts of equipment. The noise level is generally low.

  • Visual Acuity - Has close and distance vision abilities and is able to adjust focus.

  • Background Screening - All candidates must pass a pre-employment background check.

  • Governmental Contract Responsibilities - Goodwill's Commercial Services division holds contracts for services at some federal government buildings. As a result, a Government Background Check may be required for employment.
