Community Employment & Follow-up Support Services
  • Provide side-by-side job coaching at employment sites for individuals in need of additional short term or long term employment supports.
  • Complete task analysis of client job duties to develop training strategies prior to job-site training.
  • Determine accommodations and design strategies that match the needs of the worker and employer.
  • Identify workplace supports and develop a Work Supports Plan to provide supports that are needed.
  • Provide training on job skills. Teach appropriate social skills on the job. Coach to improve performance.
  • Complete and communicate work evaluations to measure the worker’s performance, work habits, and skills.
  • Collect and analyze data to document effectiveness of workplace supports and to support retention on the job site.
  • Support re-training or additional training as needed.
  • Problem solve issues occurring on and off the job that are impacting employment.
Receptionist
  • Answer phones in in a professional manner, and route calls appropriately.
  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
  • Understand agency programs to provide adequate direction and assistance to community members seeking services.
  • Obtain and understand job seeker information to support GoodTemps Staffing Solutions.
  • Support Goodwill staff and visitors with appointments and needs.
  • Attend appropriate Workforce Development meetings to ensure understanding of programs and departmental operations; may take direction from Program Managers.
  • Responsible for processing incoming mail. Time stamps, distributes and maintains records of postage expense.
  • Compose and/or prepare routine correspondences and reports.
  • Follow building open and closing procedures.
  • Enforce proper sign-in and sign-out procedures.
Career Center Support Services
  • Provide job search and resume assistance to walk-in job seekers (GoodTemps) visiting the Career Center as needed.
Follow-up Support Services including:
  • Successfully performing new job duties that were assigned after job start.
  • Relearning skills previously learned but being performed incorrectly or poorly.
  • Problem solving issues occurring on and off the job that are impacting employment
Employment Planning
  • Assist the Career Coach and Job Placement Supervisor to help clients learn about employment opportunities and to make informed decisions using some type of employment exploration model including situational assessment, on-the-job evaluation, job tryout, or job shadowing.
  • Assist the Career Coach with employment planning and assessments.
  • Provide training and evaluation to assess a person’s performance relating to job skills, interest in a particular job, work-related behaviors, need for potential accommodations, and other pertinent information.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to Career Coach.
  • Other Duties
  • Support the Job Placement Supervisor in the development of skill appropriate jobs in the community for client placement
  • Ensure timely and quality case noting in case management system.
