BRIDGE Program Manager

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers - Columbus, GA

The BRIDGE GED Program is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Program Manager to join the team to help develop people and change lives.

Program Administration and Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the program to include annual class scheduling, recruiting, hiring and retaining qualified staff, preparing and monitoring all aspects of the budget, manage fiscal resources and report financial information, monitor contract agreements
  • Work with staff to address student concerns, questions and connect them with community resources
  • Coordinate support services for participants, i.e., transportation, support groups, assistance with book supplies, case management and follow-up activates
  • Build partnerships to enhance the availability, quality and delivery of services, market the BRIDGE program to recruit students and raise community awareness
  • Identify additional funding resources and initiate plans to secure funds
  • Supervise, observe, and evaluate staff, model professional behavior and require staff members to act professionally, while promoting a safe environment
  • Promote an environment in which cultural and philosophical diversity is valued and appreciated, and cultivate an atmosphere of respect for staff and students
  • Attend all staff meetings and in-service workshops
  • Establish procedures to meet performance accountability objectives, provide counseling and guidance with emphasis on maximum progress of students, and promote and encourage student career pathway connection to GoodwillSR and other resources
  • Conduct program planning to meet program objectives, develop curriculum, retention activities and other student services, and support instructional strategies based on research in secondary and adult learning methods
  • Establish procedures for collecting, documenting, analyzing, and reporting data and ensure accountability, assess potential students using TABE and other tools
  • Conduct needs assessment analysis for each student, evaluate the accomplishments of students regularly, and maintain student progress documentation and attendance records

Supervisory Responsibilities

Has immediate supervision over a singular or small group of team members.

Travel

Travel required less than 25% of time. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Travel required for community outreach, partnership meetings, and professional development and/or to assist other facilities.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Requires a level of knowledge normally gained through completion of an undergraduate degree
  • 3 years’ experience in secondary, adult education, family counseling or program administration
  • 2 years of supervisory experience

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree in Education or the Social Science Field
  • 5 years’ experience in secondary and/or adult education
  • 5 years supervisory experience
