Right now, our 38th Street Store in Tacoma, WA store is seeking a Full Time Merchandise Gleaner!
Hourly Rate: $16.28 Per Hour
Position Summary: Merchandise Gleaners are responsible for the sorting and selection of online appropriate items from the store product flow.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: The Merchandise Gleaner responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:
- Working with staff to ensure collectable, online appropriate items are sent to E-Sales weekly and for accurate tracking, packing and shipping of items
- Requires basic computer and e-mail skills, collectables, apparel and electronics product knowledge.
- Antique store experience and prior supervisory experience are all helpful in ensuring both product knowledge as well as indications of candidate's ability to work in a non-supervisory role relying on peer partnerships and teamwork
- Work in congruence with teammates in order to meet store goals
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required
- Must have basic computer skils
- Prior experience working in production as well as an office setting preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
- Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and concensus

Supervisory Responsibilities: None for this position.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics. Ability to write creatively and articulately with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra when working on spreadsheets. Ability to create and manage departmental budget.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
Other Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of a Merchandise Gleaner.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None for this position.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
