As an Assistant Store Manager, you play a vital role in supporting our mission of providing employment-related services to the community by participating in all areas of the store's daily operations. Every day will be something different, packed with variety and routine! You will be training new hires; motivating staff to meet their individual and team goals; providing outstanding customer service to shoppers, donors, and employees; managing administrative responsibilities; and creating an environment where your team wants to come to work every day! The Assistant Store Manager assumes responsibility of all store personnel and processes in the absence of the Store Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER
The successful candidate will have at least five (5) years of supervisory experience, preferably in retail. This person will also be dependable to work an assigned schedule rotation. (Store hours are Monday - Saturday 9AM- 8PM and Sundays 11AM - 7PM.)
This working manager’s position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours), bend, stoop, lift, push and pull a minimum of 30 pounds, reach overhead, operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand-trucks to move product throughout the store and production areas.
The Assistant Store Manager will also need to have a valid Arizona driver’s license with a suitable driving record, and be able to become CPR and First Aid Certified. Must be able to gain clearance under the Department of Economic Security to provide services to program participants of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (fingerprint and background check) within 90 days of employment.
