Are you looking for a summer job and enjoy helping youth grow in their skills and confidence? Our Summer Youth Job Coaches are the key component in the success of our annual program assisting youth with disabilities ages 14-21 learn the skills needed to obtain and retain employment.
Our Summer Youth Job Coaches will specifically be working with young adults with disabilities who are on the verge of entering the workforce. The goal of Summer Youth is to provide participants with skills that will help them get a job when the time is right and have a higher chance of success. Work sites are in the community at Goodwill stores as well as at various businesses. Part of the duties also include transportation of youth to and from the job site.
** While the position is temporary, there is a chance you may be offered a permanent Job Coach position. **
Pay and hours:
Summer Youth begins June 3 and runs through August 9. The job is 30-40 hours but we will consider those needing fewer hours. Positions are open in Hocking, Pickaway, Pike, Vinton, Athens, Fayette and Ross Counties.
Pay is commensurate to experience starting no lower than $18 an hour. Paychecks are deposited weekly.

Our Job Coaches are among our entry level mission services positions. While anyone with a love for helping others can train to be a job coach, this position may be best suited for those looking for a career in human services, social work, education, special education, or healthcare.
Our ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly, have patience, be able to effectively teach others, and work with people from a variety of backgrounds and ages, especially those with disabilities.
Key qualifications include:
● Self-starter who can work independently and as a team player
● Outgoing personality
● Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
● Computer skills
● Driver’s license and clean driving record
● Good attendance
● Will be subject to random drug testing policies including for cause and after accidents.
● Ability to pass a criminal background check and not appear on any government registries that track abusers or other such offenses
● High school diploma or GED
