Goodwill Industries of Northern New Engl is Hiring an Occupational Therapist Near Scarborough, ME
Goodwill is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our NeuroRehab team! This position is full time 35 hours per week, and will split time between our Scarborough and Lewiston Maine branch!
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist ensures various educational, vocational and rehabilitation activities to help individuals with acquired brain injuries regain the skills they need to live more independently. Job level indicates the exemption status of the position.
The Occupational Therapist is expected to:
- Conduct individual and group occupational therapy sessions.
- Prepare findings, diagnostic impressions, diagnosis, and recommendations.
- Present information, written and verbal, to team members, service recipients, family members, payors, and other stakeholders in a manner that is understandable and helpful.
- Design, construct, and implement special materials, equipment and individualized person-centered therapeutic rehabilitation programs to help overcome barriers and enhance independence and quality of life.
- Support a successful practice by providing back up coverage to rehabilitation technician groups or phone coverage when needed.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Maine.
- Successful completion of a background check that meets Agency standards.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and insurance that meets Agency standards.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with Acquired Brain Injuries.
