Job Description

Receives donations at assigned donation center, issues receipts for donations and sorts donated merchandise into assigned categories. Responsibilities and Duties

1.Responsible for the proper and timely opening/closing of donation center. 2.Accepts donations and refuses donations, which are within the accepted category and in good condition. 3.Accepts and/or refuses donations in a polite and courteous manner. 4.Issues a written receipt for donated goods to a donor. 5.Maintains a clean, organized and safe donation center. 6.Reports any damage, loss, theft, or injury immediately to supervisor or Safety/Loss-Prevention Specialist ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.Represents the organization to customers who drop off donations at the ADC. 2.Provides excellent customer service by assisting in unloading of donated items.

Ability to read, write and speak English (preferred) and have a basic math aptitude. Ability to follow written or verbal instructions. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, customers, donors, and persons receiving services. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
