Provide leadership, organize, and monitor the flow of goods being loaded and unloaded from the trucks. Provide training for drivers and dock personnel. Closely monitor safety procedures and policies. Assists Operations/Logistics Manager in managing the flow of goods.Partner with the District Manager to ensure the stores are serviced adequately. Train and supervise employees in procedures.Completes reports accurately as assigned.Supervises and assists in the unloading or loading trucks at dock.Sorts merchandise into containers for processing and distribution.Monitor and schedule all equipment for regular preventive maintenance and any needed repairs.Maintains a clean and safe working area inside and outside of dock.Responsibility for maintaining inventory of all operational supplies.Assist in coordinating safety training for all employees.Ensure accident/injury reports are completed and submitted within twenty-four hours of occurrence.Maintain integrity of aisle ways, electrical panels clearance and fire extinguisher access.Ensure essential safety information is communicated to employees in a timely manner.Conduct daily walk through inspection prior to the start of operations.Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.Other duties may be assigned. Dock Workers, Balers, Drivers, and Truck Helpers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required. Valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record of the past 2 years (4 points or less) preferred
