Janitor Summary To clean assigned area to an acceptable level of quality. Have a working knowledge of janitorial terms. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain a safe and clean environment.Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to:Restroom cleaningVacuumingDusting high and lowEmptying trash cansFloor care, such as dust mopping and wet moppingOther duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to read or identify names of chemicals on containers.Experience with proper use of chemicals and equipment. Practical knowledge of custodial work, including cleaning and waxing compounds, mechanical equipment used.Ability to read or identify names of chemicals on containers.Ability to work independently. Qualifications Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
