Description

GoodNight Stay, the largest technology based short term rental company in TN is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working professional to lead our Nashville operations team as our Operations Manager. We are a luxury property management company with homes and hotels throughout Arizona, Tennessee, California, Colorado, Florida and Idaho.

Primary duties for the Operations Manager are to organize and lead a team of 20 employees in the field for our 500 luxury rental portfolio. The Operations Manager position is full-time and based out of in Nashville, TN. This is a great opportunity for a motivated person to join a fast-paced company in one of the fastest growing industries in the United States.

The Operations Manager Role:

  • Help the GoodNight Stay team build onto an already strong market.
  • Bring your own and create new relationships in the market that help provide excellent service to our guests and owners.
  • Help build find, interview and hire local operational staff members.
  • Motivate and lead the staff on all Good Night initiatives.
  • Be able to communicate effectively to the local staff and executive team through email, phone calls, reports and KPIs.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth operation of all of GoodNight Stay's markets.
  • Executing the implementation of People & Culture strategies and initiatives that align with GoodNight Stay’s business strategy.
  • Develop, maintain and role model a culture that is open to change and innovation, and supports collaboration, respect and accountability.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure adherence to federal, state and local legal requirements.
  • Lead the senior leadership team to build an empowering workplace through effective performance management and feedback, coaching and support.
  • Manage employee performance and salary review process.
  • Assisting with full cycle recruiting as required.
  • Create, update, maintain and improve on GoodNight Stay’s HR related policies.
  • Act as the main contact for People & HR related matters.
  • Partner with senior leadership team to implement strategies for employee engagement and retention.
  • Ensure consistent compliance to all Employment & Labor laws of the area.
  • Manage the onboarding and exiting process for employees.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and luxury hospitality service environment while remaining calm and productive under pressure.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively using all modern methods of communication.
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient, while having the confidence to seek guidance and direction as needed.
  • Must own, carry, and use a cellular phone with phone calling and texting ability.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Five years of related experience required, with a minimum of one-year general manager experience.
  • Vacation Rental, Property Management at scale, or similar premium hospitality experience, Sales experience a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data as well as the ability to effectively communicate results to property owners
  • Problem solving.
  • Finding ways to promote our brand within the community as we achieve excellence and great experiences.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional attitude while multi-tasking several difficult objectives.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to local staff, executive team and property owners.
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial drive.
