Goodman McGuffey LLP has an immediate opening for a senior level attorney with 5 or more years’ experience in automobile litigation, premises liability, insurance coverage, and other areas of insurance defense for its Atlanta, Georgia office. The cases will include commercial motor vehicle, automobile liability, premises liability, construction defect, and day-care exposures.

This is a senior level/leadership position with a great deal of autonomy. You will manage cases from inception through resolution and directly supervise the team including an associate, paralegal, and legal assistant The candidate must have a JD degree from an ABA accredited law school and be admitted to the Georgia Bar Association. Significant experience in state and federal courts is required. The ideal candidate will have managed a heavy case load, performed depositions of all parties from plaintiffs to experts, successfully mediated and settled complex cases, and prepared for and tried cases to verdict, preferably first-chair, in state and federal court. This position requires a strong work ethic, dedication to the practice of law, willingness to devote significant time to building a practice, and a strong commitment to actively contribute to the ongoing long-term success and growth of the firm.

Salary range for this position is $130,000-$155,000 per year which includes base salary and bonus based on meeting and exceeding revenue and profitability goals.
