Job Description
You will assist the Operation Manager to oversee warehouse activities for incoming/outgoing shipments and a smooth flow of raw materials to the production lines. Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Lead group of workers engaged in lifting, transporting and loading materials for shipment or storage. Oversee the processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment. Schedule work for special and periodic inventories. Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedites workflow.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• You will coordinate warehouse operations and production needs.
• Maintain loading, unloading, and scheduling of product or ingredients to meet plant and corporate goals.
• Oversee shipping/receiving operations to provide efficient handling of raw materials and customer orders.
• Maintain warehousing rotation and hold programs.
• Periodically audit inventory for accuracy and obsolete product.
• Enforces the plant's safety program including good manufacturing processes.
• Monitor warehousing area and employees to eliminate work hazards and unsafe acts.
• Monitor equipment, submit work orders for repairs, and recommend changes for safe operation.
• You will train individuals on safety procedures, specifically forklift and hand jack operation, loading, and trailer operation.
• You will motivate and monitor performance of warehousing employees. Recognize good performance and take corrective action when needed.
• Guide projects to reduce cost through labor controls, damage reduction, implementation of new methods and tools to improve productivity.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• SAP knowledge.
• Experience in a food-processing, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
• Valid Driver License required, CDL license highly preferred.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management
• Ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources.
• Regular attendance and reliable transportation is required.

Working Environment and Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to fingers; handle; and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; and ability to adjust focus. The employees are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places; extreme heat and cold.
