good2grow LLC is Hiring a Maintenance Mechanic Near Auburndale, FL

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing production/manufacturing equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will use their existing knowledge of manufacturing equipment, conveying systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems to effectively identify issues and repair these systems, while maintaining the safety and compliance standards set forth by OSHA and the Company.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Performs maintenance and repairs of production/manufacturing equipment.

  • Troubleshoots mechanical breakdowns and repairs problems associated with high-speed manufacturing line and production equipment in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Performs emergency repairs of equipment during production to maintain production goals as established by schedules.
  • Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on assigned line(s) within the time frame set forth by leadership.
  • Upgrades areas with new equipment and technology as assigned.
  • Upholds and reinforces safety standards and procedures set forth by the Company.

Complies with established safety procedures and standards and OSHA guidelines.

  • Wears ear plugs, safety glasses, hair/beard cover, and gloves as required.
  • Supports compliance activities associated with Food Safety Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Supports Food Safety System Certification measures, audits, and compliance throughout the Company.

Education/Experience

  • 2 years of experience troubleshooting production lines (industrial manufacturing equipment, conveying systems).
  • 2 years of experience with hydraulics and pneumatics (e.g., install, troubleshoot, lines, valves, cylinders, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, pulleys, chains, belts, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs, etc.)
  • Highschool Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English, highly preferred.
  • Ability to carry up to 50lbs
