Good Shepherd Health Care is Hiring a Healthcare Project Manager Near Hermiston, OR

Overview

This Healthcare Project Manager is responsible for managing healthcare projects from conception to construction, ensuring they are completed within budget and on time, and align with Good Shepherd’s goals and objectives. The Healthcare Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, administrators, facilities managers, and IT professionals to ensure successful project outcomes.

Position Objectives

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to successfully complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Create project plans, timelines and budgets.
  • Establish project milestones and tracking mechanisms.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Manage project documentation and maintain project records.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, to ensure effective project execution and communication.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of healthcare projects from initiation to closing.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure project objectives are met within set timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure projects adhere to healthcare industry regulations and standards, including HIPAA, CMS, and OHA guidelines, and other relevant compliance requirements.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays or obstacles.
  • Coordinate project team members and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks, and timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to other project team members to ensure project success.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or related filed preferred. (education may be substituted by work experience)
  • PMP certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in project or construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Flexibility to pivot between projects of different type and scope.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work indoors in an office environment within a working area that may be shared with others making conditions cramped. Must be able to tune out variable noise interruptions. Subject to numerous customer inquiries daily.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work under stress as multiple deadlines occur simultaneously. Must focus on listening as ideas are expressed and exchanged in varying noise levels. May work over 8 hours and occasionally a weekend to meet goals and objectives. Must sit during extended periods daily. Must push or lift boxes on occasion. Required to be on call, 24 hours a day, up to seven continuous days.
