Position Summary
The Polysomnographic Technician is responsible for performing comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general oversight of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or the medical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee. A Polysomnographic Technician can provide oversight of a Polysomnographic Trainee. This is a technical position functioning independently with limited supervision. Work situations require extensive knowledge and the application of advanced expertise in the field of sleep disorders, and sound clinical judgments, actions, and decision making regarding unusual patient behavior, i.e. seizure activity, life threatening cardiac and respiratory abnormalities. Internal contacts are basically within the work group but may include patient care staff and management throughout the Medical Center. This position has external contacts with physicians as well as extensive direct patient care and patient contact on a daily basis.Requirements

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $32.32 - $51.46 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
