Job Summary and Qualifications

The Market Denial Prevention Lead is responsible for providing direction and oversight of the concurrent denial tracking and prevention to the market within the Far West Division and will assist the facilities by initiating a proactive approach to reduce denial volume by applying root cause analysis, action planning, strategy and process implementation. The Market Lead will interact with Division and facility leadership, payers, contracting, physicians, auditors, the SSC (shared service center), as well as any other departments to facilitate communication and actions related to the denial management processes and reporting.

What qualifications you will need:
  • BS / BA preferred
  • Must have a working knowledge of the revenue cycle for patient accounts and accurate billing process. Normally acquired through 5 years of experience in Health Information Management or Patient Access.
  • Analytical skills necessary in order to handle non-routine, moderately complex administrative details
  • Comprehensive knowledge of practices and techniques of revenue cycle and patient account billing.
  • Superior telephone, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and positively with people. Ability to show understanding, patience, and tact when dealing with physicians, staff, and the public.
