Position Description:

The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise the Warehouse Teams at our Viola and Viroqua facilities. This includes monitoring the performance of warehouse workers, verifying order build quality, handling employee station scheduling, and tracking key performance metrics (such as those related to quality and efficiency). The Warehouse Supervisor’s responsibilities include training, discipline, performance reviews, hiring, firing, and overseeing warehouse team to ensure high work performance and safety to meet customer quality and delivery expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supervision Duties:

· The Warehouse Supervisor will direct workflow of warehouse teams to ensure safe and accurate operation of the warehouse equipment. 

· The Warehouse Supervisor will uphold a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, materials, and resources while maintaining compliance with established GMP’s, policies and procedures.

· Direct team members on suitable personal protective equipment to complete daily tasks

· The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure that all warehouse staff are sufficiently trained, and certifications updated for the PIV

· The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure adequate job mentoring is provided and expectations are appropriately communicated by the leads.

· Facilitate personnel problems through coaching, discipline, and training process

· Define staffing needs and allocate workload

· Obtain support from the Warehouse Manager on personnel problems, when necessary 

· Monitor warehouse employees during warehousing activities to ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures and protocols

· Promote healthy communications between warehouse employees and management

Maintenance Duties:

· Report any equipment issues to the Warehouse Manager or maintenance

· Assist maintenance by overseeing proper equipment use and requesting repairs as needed

Operations Duties: 

· The Warehouse Supervisor will maintain quality standards by enforcing GMP’s and ensuring ingredients and finished product meet pre-defined specifications

· Report food safety and quality issues to the Warehouse Manager

· Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipments

· Control and organize storage and inventory spaces

· Maintain records, utilize reporting, and track warehouse productivity metrics

· Implement new methods, processes, and improvements

· Review processes to ensure that ergonomic requirements are met.

Collaborative Duties:

· Work cooperatively with quality department to assist with sampling and lab release needs

· The Warehouse Supervisor will partner with all departments, share technical knowledge, skills, and information to continuously improve overall plant operations and food safety.

Skills Required:

· Knowledge of GMP’s and HACCP

· Knowledge and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

· Ability to complete records accurately and timely

· Ability to perform basic mathematics

· Possess the ability to work independently and in a team setting

· Good communication skills

· Basic ERP skills (SAP preferred)

Education/Training:

· Previous experience working in a food manufacturing setting is preferred

· Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing is preferred

Travel Required:

There is minimal travel required with this position.
