Job Title: Part-Time Seasonal Summer Program Staff - Opportunity for Continued Employment Beyond Summer Program!
Direct Supervisor: Program Supervisor
Job Description: As a Summer Program Staff member, you will work Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with Fridays available as an option. The seasonal timeframe for this position is June 3rd to August 10th. Your hourly rate for this role begins at $17.00, even with no prior experience. You can expect to work between 28 to 40 hours per week, with payment on a bi-weekly basis via direct deposit or check.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will work directly with program participants to uphold GoldStar's mission, vision, and values while meeting their unique needs under the guidance of a GoldStar Supervisor. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, respect, and well-being of the participants according to their individual service plans. Field trips to community locations such as pools and parks will be a regular occurrence.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The position involves normal levels of activity related to bending, carrying, climbing, hearing, reaching, sitting, standing, vision, and walking. At times, there may be above-average levels of activity due to the needs of the participants.
Non-Exempt/Hourly: This position falls under non-exempt status, requiring adherence to all policies outlined in the GLO policy handbook, including recording hours worked and non-work hours. The minimum starting pay is $17 per hour.
