Job Type: Full-Time, Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare in Clinton, MO, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Biomedical Engineering Technician to join our team. As a Biomedical Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in the validation, inspection, and maintenance of clinical equipment, ensuring its safety, functionality, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Validate, inspect, and maintain clinical equipment for completeness, mechanical and electrical safety, and proper operation per regulatory standards.
  • Perform planned maintenance inspections, calibrations, and repairs of general biomedical equipment.
  • Approve new biomedical equipment by conducting tests and ensuring adherence to codes.
  • Install new biomedical equipment by establishing, adjusting, calibrating, and testing performance.
  • Maintain biomedical equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff, materials management personnel, and the engineering department for equipment installations and modifications.
  • Operate within various regulatory frameworks and standards on medical device safety, maintaining documented records on equipment management.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, analyze information, and train and educate staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field required.
  • One or more years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance.
  • Biomedical Engineering certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in electronics is a plus.
