Essential Functions and Objectives, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading a toddler room with toddlers ages 12m-36m, OR an infant room wth ages 6w-18m
- Managing/collaborating with up to 3 assistants depending on room and staff hours
- Responsible for fostering a positive, nurturing environment leading to best growth and development of children
- Attend required orientations, training, and staff meetings
- Maintain open communication with staff, parents, and foster a positive environment for children
- Supervise play areas, maintain logs and reports, housekeeping, assist with lunch, or lunch clean-up, or nap and/or snack depending on shift hours, and additional duties as assigned
- Ensure that Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care policies and procedures are followed

Licensure & Certification:
- There are specific requirements from the State of Colorado. The link to our application above will ask you questions about this in an easy-to-understand way
- AMI, AMD, or MACTE certificate is highly sought

Education & Experience:
- 2 Years experience in Early Childhood Education (Per Colorado 7.702 regs)
- Must be Toddler Lead qualified by the State of Colorado (CRS 7.702.47)
- Must be able to become First Aid, CPR and Universal Precautions certified
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- RN License, Associates Degree, CDA, CCP, PDIS Level III and/or 12 Semesters ECE per Colorado Regs may be required.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:
- Must pass a CBI (Colorado) and FBI (Federal) background check
- Ability to relate positively to children and adults.
- Ability to build relationships and partnerships with diverse people and organizations; strong collaboration skills
- Flexible, self-motivated individual
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to routinely lift 40 pounds
- Must be dependable and on time
