Position Title: Adjunct Faculty, MBA Management and Leadership, Ageno School of Business
Department Name: Ageno School of Business
Position Reports To: AssociateDean of Ageno School of Business
FLSA STATUS : Exempt
Salary: $1,440 per unit
Benefits: Limited University's benefits
Days & Hours: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Academic calendar: 3 terms, each 16 weeks; in person courses run late afternoon and evenings
BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Leadership programs at Golden Gate University invite applicants to apply for adjunct faculty positions in these high-growth programs. Holders of these positions will teach at the graduate level. Courses may be in-person, online, or both and include both domestic and international students. Positions are part-time and may require weekday afternoon and evening availability. In-person courses are taught at the downtown San Francisco campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Prepares and delivers course content to students in the MBA and MS Leadership degree program.
  • Updates course content and teaching materials as needed.
  • Maintains relevant academic and/or professional qualifications.
  • Teaches at the graduate level in both the traditional classroom and online environments and assists with curricular development and maintenance.
  • Updates and manages course content on the learning management system.
  • Grades student submissions and facilitates online class discussions.
Qualifications
  • Education requirement:
    • Master's or Doctorate degree in Business, Management, Leadership or related field
  • Years of experience:
    • A minimum of 8 years professional and/or academic experience in one or more of the following is required:
  • Management and leadership
  • Presentations and communications
  • Leading and managing teams
  • Strategy
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Data analytics
  • Supply chain
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Entrepreneurship
  • International business
  • IT management

  • Direct job-related requirements:
    • Familiarity with online learning platforms
  • Skills and abilities:
    • Specific ability to engage students using active learning and practical instruction.
    • Preference given to those with experience teaching at the graduate level.
    • Demonstrated practical professional experience in the subject teaching
    • Demonstrated record of instructional skills either online or in-person
