Golden Boy Barbecue is a new live-fire cooking concept inspired by Texas barbecue tradition, opening this Spring. We are located in Elmhurst and plan to provide the entirety of the western suburbs with a curated experience that challenges what barbecue can be in this region. Management provides the combination of young and new perspectives with the guidance of hospitality veterans that have been opening and operating successful restaurants for over 30 years. Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to join our team. As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and leading a team of bartenders and servers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary and hospitality management, possess excellent leadership skills, and have a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Oversee inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Train, supervise, and schedule bartenders
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain targeted liquor cost
- Maintain integrity of drink recipes
- Ability to uphold company standards in high volume service environment
- Knowledge of Bourbon and Tequila
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Handle cash handling procedures accurately and securely
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns or complaints
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and beverage preparation
- Proven ability to manage inventory effectively
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in cash handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
