Bus Monitor
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students while on the bus
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and bus driver
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
- Maintain order and discipline on the bus
- Monitor student behavior and address any issues that arise
- Collaborate with the bus driver to ensure a smooth and efficient bus route
- Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate school personnel
Skills:
- Childcare experience, preferably working with school-aged children
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
- Strong conflict management skills to handle any disputes or disruptions on the bus
- Ability to manage student behavior and enforce bus rules
- Familiarity with special education needs and accommodations for students with disabilities
- Experience working in a classroom or educational setting is a plus
We are looking for a responsible and caring individual to join our team as a Bus Monitor. As a Bus Monitor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their bus transportation. You will be responsible for maintaining order on the bus, addressing any behavioral issues, and communicating effectively with students, parents, and the bus driver.
To excel in this role, you should have previous childcare experience, preferably working with school-aged children. Knowledge of first aid procedures is essential, as you may need to respond to emergencies while on the bus. Strong conflict management skills are also important in handling any disputes or disruptions that may arise.
Experience working with students who have special education needs is highly valued, as well as familiarity with behavior management techniques. If you have previous experience working in a classroom or educational setting, it would be considered an asset.
