Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Cash Application Specialist in our Buffalo, NY office.
Our expanding Cash Application Team is looking for a candidate who is interested in a long-term position where they can develop their knowledge and grow within the team. They will be required to accurately and timely post client payments and write offs into the firm accounting system. This involves research in determining the proper allocation and handling of payments and adjustments. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Responsibilities::

• Input and allocate checks, wires, credit card, and ACH payments into Firm’s accounting system

• Prepare daily deposit for scanning into bank

• Process approved write offs as instructed

• Resolve complicated check discrepancies

• Process refunds and perform credit research

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Problem analysis and problem solving skills

• Works well in a team environment

• Strong organization and time management skills

• Effective verbal and written communication

• Demonstrate self-motivation and ownership of assigned work

• Understanding the importance of follow-up and issue resolution

Benefits::
This role offers an hourly salary. The hourly salary range for this position is $19.00 to $20.50. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
