Position Overview:

This hourly position is that of route sales relief covering various routes performing DSD tasks for driving revenue while selling, delivering, and stocking our great line of products in store locations across specific route territories. The idea candidate should have a valid class B license, a valid medical certificate with a good driving record. This individual must demonstrate sales/organizational skills and be able to communicate with customers in a professional manner. 

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop knowledge of our complete product portfolio to optimize sales and meet customer needs.
• Accurately manage truck inventory of product(s) at store level.
• Stock shelves/display units, rotate product, and ensure inventory is fully stocked and presentable when service is complete.
• Sell new products, while managing promotions at store level with flawless execution.
• Maximizes sales in accounts by introducing items from our portfolio that stores do not currently carry. 
• Build strong relationships with store managers and create a rapport with all appropriate staff members.
• Manage company owned freezer assets in the market.
• Identify and act on selling opportunities respond to competitor activities, maintain/increase space looking for secondary placements.
• Follow company standard operating procedures-Adhere to route schedules, only order authorized products, maintain proper inventory balance, set stores to schematics, manage out of stocks.
• Able to work early AM and or through Mid-afternoon shift Monday thru Friday while providing ability to work OT and random weekend days if needed.

Requirements

• DSD Sales experience is a plus; an aptitude to learn and utilize sales tactics is a must.
• Temperature: work in cold temperatures (-20 degrees F)
• Must be able to lift or carry up to 70 lbs several times per day.
• Frequent walking, kneeling, and bending throughout the day basic requirements.
• Read, write, and speak English and have basic math skills.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain CDL class B license with air-brakes.
• Manual and or Electric PIT experience a plus.
