In 1984, the Walkers created Gold Dust Potato Processors, Inc. Originall...y operating out of offices in Merrill and sheds located on the family's farm, Gold Dust operated a truck brokerage and processing facilities. Now, they operate on a large campus outside of Malin, Oregon, where the packing shed ships chipping potatoes to customers all over the West Coast of the US as well as to clients all over the Pacific Rim. Today, Gold Dust and Walker Brothers is owned and operated by the Walker Family. William (Bill) Walker, John Walker, Weston Walker and Tricia (Walker) Hill are the family behind these businesses.
