Godshall's Quality Meats is an expanding family run company producing various meat products sold in the US and world markets. We are currently looking for first shift Plant Trainer.Job Summary:Assist in the development of employees throughout production.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Have a key role the Onboarding of New Hires:
- Assist with new hire orientation training on Day 1
- Meet with new employees on their first day in the employee’s work area
- Review job duties and performance expectations specific to the job being trained on with the new employee and their supervisor as needed
- Check in daily with the new hires to develop the relationship and help them feel welcomed
- Follow up with new hires on any concerns or questions they have and relay concerns or questions to HR or Supervisor.
- Provide daily feedback on work performance to the new employee and communicate feedback to Supervisor.
- Keep management informed of any issues they may see, or hear, that the new hire is having. Provide recommendation and work together with Management team on finding solutions to help with retention.
- Assist supervisor with 90-day evaluations as needed, including help in translating.
- Completes 1-week new hire checklist and sends it to HR, Plant Manager and Supervisor
- Assist with LOTO and Forklift Certification Training
- Assist with Management and FSQA departments on projects throughout the year (SOPs, Work instructions, new training and Leader development training
- Assist with Annual and Monthly Alchemy Trainings
- Alchemy troubleshooting
- Assist with translating for the Management team as needed.
- Daily plant walks, check break rooms for applications and updates any info as need including info displaying on TVs
- Assist with ESL training and update management as needed
- Other duties as needed
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish and English) required
- Ability to work flexible hours required
- Acts as a positive role model by demonstrating desirable behaviors; patience, tolerance and listening skills.
- Is respectful of other employee’s time, opinions and decision-making skills
- Is encouraging and supportive, but also able to offer constructive criticism to help employee grow
- Overall Job knowledge of jobs in production
