Godman Guild Association is Hiring an Employment Services Client Success Coach Near Columbus, OH

Godman Guild Association is a workforce development non-profit organization founded in 1898 with a focus on helping to build better neighborhoods – one person, one family at a time. Godman Guild’s programs are for all ages and are built to provide a continuum of success and support, making it possible for participants to achieve their academic and career goals.
The Guild is currently looking for a Employment Services Client Success Coach to provide support services to participants in Godman Guild’s Employment Services programs. and to ensure successful participation and successful attainment of work and/or living wage employment.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide assessment, crisis intervention, goal setting, referrals to community resources, training, and coaching to Employment Services clients to support all program participants with eliminating barriers to obtaining employment.

Provide an overview of resources and available support services through case management, workshops, training, and orientations.

Review program attendance, data, and case notes to identify participants in need of additional coaching.

Collaborate with the Employment Services team to identify participants in need of other supports.

Manage a caseload of participants to assist with setting career goals and obtaining employment.

Conduct assessments of strengths, barriers, risks, and protective factors.

Help clients set goals to address barriers to participation and employment.

Help clients create a step-by-step plan to achieve career goals that lead to living wage employment.

Create and facilitate training modules on relevant employment and wellness topics for clients and the community.

Collaborate with instructors, partners, and staff to provide a seamless integration of services for participants.

Conduct regular coaching sessions with participants, including intake and exit interviews.

Document case management activities and individual success measures.

Create and maintain a directory of community resources.

Include resources and organizations with specific areas of expertise.

Establish strong and collaborative working relationships with community agencies to broaden our network of community resources.

Provide crisis intervention services to Employment Services program participants as needed.

Complete situational safety assessments.

Make the appropriate referrals to community resources based on assessments.

Arrange transportation as needed (may include providing transportation).

Facilitate a dialogue with participants on mental health and/or chemical dependency issues and make referrals, as needed.

Provide direct service to support participants with work readiness activities which including Direct employment referrals, Digital literacy, Resume and cover letter, Career exploration, Career planning

Maintain proper paper and electronic documentation of individual and group interactions with participants. Documentation should meet agency standards, align with audit guidelines, and comply with state and federal laws.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Listening: Use effective listening skills to maintain self-esteem and to respond with empathy to the feelings and needs of others, including the use of active listen skills (summarizing, reflecting, not interrupting, etc.) to demonstrate understanding and sensitivity.

Time Management/Multi-tasking: Accomplish goals by establishing priorities and organizing your workload to meet deadlines in a timely fashion.

Work Experience and Education

Minimum of 2 years work experience in case management or related field or equivalent education

Experience working with diverse populations, clients, and families.

Valid driver’s license with no major or DUI offenses in the last five years.

Requires intermediate computer skills and experience using office equipment.

The ability to work non-traditional hours. Some evenings and weekends may be required, although generally hours will be flexible between 8am-8pm M-F

The ability to speak other languages preferred.

Knowledge of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency services preferred.

This position is hybrid, with some work being performed in differing locations within Columbus OH, and some being performed as WFH.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
