Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Director to join our team. As an Early Childhood Director, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and providing them with a strong foundation for their future education. You will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the center and ensuring the safety of children, families, and staff. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lessons
- Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Monitor and assess student progress, identifying areas for improvement or additional support
- Hire, train, and support teachers to work directly with children.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
- Ensure the center is always in compliance with minimum standards at all times.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not required.
- At least 5 years working in a licensed childcare facility.
- At least 3 years of experience in a management or director role.
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and educational materials
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
Education Administration:
- Experience in education administration required.
- Ability to manage classroom resources effectively
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
Higher Education Teaching:
- Experience teaching at the higher education level is a plus
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
