Work You’ll Do
- Set-up and operate a variety of machinery (Lathe, Mill, Saw, Core Drill, Hob) to blueprint specifications.
- Responsible for the set-up and operation on a variety of machinery to produce a large assortment of parts or finishes often of a complex nature. Must apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics and machining procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production.
- Must use job specific hand tools.
- Read part drawing with sectional views.
- Lift, position and transport work piece with a hoist.
- Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.
- Recommend improvements for area product and processes.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic math skills required
- General computer skills;
- knowledge and understanding of various measuring devices.
- Familiar with what a blueprint is
- Must be at least 18 years of age
TeamA team of approximately 20 Machinists working during all 3 shifts.
